Astros Staff

Andy Bass: 
Andy Bass is in his 22nd season as the varsity baseball coach at Greenwood Community High School. His team's have won several Mid-State Conference and Johnson County Tournament championships. He has had one player drafted in the MLB first year player draft, five players selected to play in the Indiana North/South All-Star series, and many players go on to play college baseball.
Andy's playing career includes two years all-conference in high school at Triton Central. Following high school, he played four years at Franklin College, three as a starter. He was honorable mention all-conference following the 1994 season as a catcher.
Andy has also worked with Doyle Baseball as an instructor. He just finished his ninth summer as a coach at the University of Notre Dame's Summer Prospect Camp.

Jason Holtzleiter:

Jason grew up in Anderson (IN) and graduated in 1993 from Highland High School where he played baseball, football and wrestling. He then went on to college at Ball State University graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science.  He currently works for the City of Greenwood (IN). Jason has been able to continue his love of sports with his two young sons.  He has enjoyed coaching the last five years for their teams. Jason has coached with All-Star and rec baseball for Greater Whiteland and basketball for the YMCA.  Jason will accept any challenge from the kids to a foot race, but none of them have beat him yet!  Coach Holtzleiter currently resides in New Whiteland (IN) with his wife and two sons. 

Tyler Ison:

Tyler attended Whiteland Community High School (IN) where he was a P/Utility Player.  While at WCHS he was part of back to back Sectional Championship teams.  He was also a member of the All-County team, All-Conference team, and Indianapolis Star All-South team.  After high school Ison attended Franklin College.  Tyler was a four year starter at Franklin College.  While at Franklin College Tyler began as a utility Player and then was a three year starting Catcher.  Tyler earned HCAC hitter of the week, HCAC All-Conference, and was a member of the D3 National Team of the Week.  Ison is also a shareholder of the most doubles in one game (3) at Franklin College.  While attending Franklin College Tyler studied Biology and obtained Minors in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Methods.  Coach Ison is currently on the baseball coaching staff at Whiteland Community High School.  Coach Ison is also a hitting and catching instructor.  Tyler will be returning to the Astros for another season.  Coach Ison currently resides in Whiteland, IN.

Brad Lyle:

Brad grew up in Bloomington (IN) and graduated from Bloomington High School South.  While at BHSS, he was a three year varsity starter as a pitcher and middle infielder, switching to catcher after tearing his rotator cuff.  Brad coached Bloomington Junior League Baseball and YMCA basketball for three years in Bloomington and has actively been involved with baseball, basketball and football in the Whiteland Community for the past several seasons.  Brad coaches rec and all-star baseball in Whiteland and understands that along with teaching fundamentals, having fun is also an important aspect of playing any sport.  He enjoys watching his players progress over the course of the season and always makes himself available for those players interested in extra practice time.  Brad is currently a sales rep for Equipment Technologies in Mooresville (IN).  Coach Lyle currently lives in Whiteland, IN with his wife and children.

Aaron Stidham:

Aaron attended Greenwood High School (IN) where he was a multi-sport athlete.  While at GHS Stidham was an Indiana All-Star (Football).  After high school Aaron attended Indiana State where he was a four year letterman.  Stidham also earned his degree in Business Management.  Aaron has been coaching and training young athletes for the last 6 seasons.  Coach Stidham is one that keeps the game FUN yet still has the ability to get the best out of his players.  He is always looking to help his players become better players/people.  Aaron has a passion to help players get to the next level.  He is currently working to help players with the college recruiting process.  With his contacts and dedication our Astros players will greatly benefit from his expertise.  Stidham has also helped his wife, Lisa Shepherd-Stidham, with the successful marketing campaign of her business, Dream Makers Basketball. Coach Stidham is returning for another season with the Indiana Astros.  Aaron currently resides in New Palestine, IN with his wife and children.
